Ron's latest results (24 April)

Ron has had some trouble with his words in the past week or so, despite seeming so well for these past 4-5 months. Words not coming out the way he wants them, and diffuculty speaking clearly - very frustrating for him. He saw the doc and has had a CT scan today. It's not good news, as there are multiple metastatic melanoma lesions in the brain.

The Gp will refer to radiologist for opinion, and Ron is back to the oncologist in about 3 weeks. In the meantime, he has started on steroid (Dexamethsone) tablets to reduce the swelling and brain inflammation. This should allieviate the symptoms for a while. He will also be unable to drive as it would be dangerous with the mixed up signals and risk of sudden changes.
